| Carlow University Theatre to Present Shakespeares "The Tempest" |
| |
The classic Shakespearian play will run for six nights in March
Pittsburgh, Pa. The Carlow University Theatre Department has chosen William Shakespeare's "The Tempest" as its play for the spring semester.
"The Tempest," Shakespeare's final play, centers on Prospero, a magician who has been banished to a remote island by his brother after being unseated from his dukedom. Prospero will be played by Jay Keenan, a Pittsburgh actor and former producer of the Duquesne Red Masquers at Duquesne University. The play will be directed by Steve Fatla.
The show will run on March 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23. All shows start at 8 p.m. in Carlow's Rosemary Heyl Theatre in Antonian Hall. Tickets for the shows are $7 for students and senior citizens and $10 for the general public. To reserve tickets, call (412) 578-8749
For more information contact Steve Fatla, the director of the theatre department, at sfatla@carlow.edu or (412) 578-6685.
