| Carlow University Management Students Take Second Place at PICPA/IIA Case Competition |

Dan Lapcevic and Rachel DeCello Take Second Place
Pittsburgh, Pa- Carlow University students Rachel DeCello and Dan Lapcevic won second place at the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA)/ Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Case Competition Wednesday November 7, 2012.
The Case Competition is an interactive, educational, collaborative challenge to work with peers to analyze data, develop ideas, and communicate your findings. The competition provides a glimpse of how Internal Audit can provide exciting opportunities to learn, develop, and grow careers.
DeCello and Lacepvic were selected for the finals out of 17 teams. The case concerned internal control over processes and financial reporting.
"Dan and Rachel were amazing- calm, collected and efficient in the presentation. They wowed the judges with their research on credit card regulations," stated Diane Matthews, Associate Dean at Carlow Universitys School of Management.
Carlow student's Annmarie Vongphakdy, Michelle Vogelsberger, Stacey Hardman, and Dulcinea Parker were also finalists.
