| Carlow University Softball (34-12) Qualifies for NAIA National Tournament |

Coach Sirko Reaches 100 Victory Milestone with Wins over Talladega College Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Carlow University Celtics qualified today for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Softball Championship Tournament with two wins over Talladega College of the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Conference by scores of 1-0 and 9-0. Carlow Head Coach Robert Sirko, from Aliquippa, Pa., also earned his 100th career victory with the two wins on Friday afternoon. This is Sirkos sixth season at Carlow's helm. Carlow advanced to the unaffiliated NAIA conference pairing versus Talladega by winning the American Mideast Conference Championship over Point Park last Sunday by scores of 10-2 (6 inn.) and 10-9 (10 inn.). In addition to qualifying for the 32-team NAIA National Tournament, being held in Gulf Shores, AL, May 16-23, Carlow is also ranked number one in the United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA) and will compete in the USCAA 8-team National Championship Tournament being held in Akron, OH, May 15-17 at Firestone Stadium, the home of the Akron Racers.
