| Carlow University's Women of Spirit® Institute Offers New Summer Workshop |

Pre-Law & Order: The Summer Advocates Academy Prepares Young Women for the Law
Pittsburgh, Pa. - Carlow University will offer a new summer workshop, Pre-Law & Order: The Summer Advocates Academy, for high school junior and senior girls and first, second, and third year female college students who are interested in a career in the law.
The four-day workshop will take place June 25 through 28, 2012, and combine sessions on the Carlow campus with visits to downtown law firms, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University law schools.
The workshop focuses on law school preparation and careers for women in the law; it is the only pre-professional program in Pittsburgh that focuses on legal careers for women.
Participants will learn to think and speak like advocates; read and brief issues; and prepare and test for college and law school admission exams. They will receive instruction from Carlow faculty and members of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as mentoring from recent alumnae and communication leaders in the fields of government, law, media, and politics.
