| Carlow University Celtics Softball Tops USCAA's Week One Coaches' Poll |

Team's Best Start Ever Leads to Recognition in the Polls
Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Carlow University Celtics softball team is ranked number one in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association's coaches' poll. This is the first USCAA rankings this season, and covers the week of March 17th through 24th.
The Celtics are off to their best start in team history with a 17-6 record and a 7-1 conference record. The squads 17 wins so far this year already ties the 2006-2007 for most wins in Carlow's history.
The Celtics are a young squad, with only four seniors - Alyssa Capatolla from Greensburg, Pa., Rebecca Blyth from Ellwood City, Pa., Ashley Baughman, from Hopewell High School and Aliquippa, Pa., and Sarah Sevcik, from Penn Hills, Pa. - on the 21 player roster.
Celtics' head coach Bob Sirko is assisted by Holly Baughman, Jill Morrison, and Larry Miller.
