| Carlow University Honors Four Alumnae as Carlow Laureates |

University's Distinguished Alumnae Award to Be Presented on May 11, 2012
Pittsburgh, Pa. - Carlow University has selected four distinguished alumnae as its 2012 Carlow Laureates, the University's most prestigious alumnae award.
"Our Carlow Laureates are recognized for their outstanding academic achievements, professional contributions, and serving leadership," said Dr. Mary Hines, president of Carlow University. "Recipients of this award have risen to the highest ranks of their chosen professions, have contributed to new knowledge in their disciplines, and have been guided by the principles of a Carlow education - one tied to academic rigor, but one also tied to service."
The 2012 Carlow Laureates are:
Michele Rehfeld Atkins, president and CEO of Heritage Community Initiatives in Braddock, Pa. She earned her bachelor's degree in sociology and anthropology in 1982.
Patricia G. Donohoe, co-founder of TBM Staffing, Inc. and Medical Staffing Network (MSN) in Tampa, Fl. She earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing in 1975.
Michele Fabrizi, president and CEO of MARC USA, the largest advertising agency in Western Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in speech, communications, theater, and elementary education in 1975.
Marilyn Radke, MD, medical officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Ga. She earned her bachelor of science degree in biology in 1973.
The Laureates will be honored at a special luncheon on Friday, May 11 at the Twentieth Century Club in Oakland. They will also participate in Carlow's Spring Commencement at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum on Saturday, May 12.
