Add Woman and Stir: A Textbook Recipe Recalls Founding of Carlow's Women's Studies
Pittsburgh, Pa. - In honor of Women's History Month, Carlow University presents Add Woman and Stir: A Textbook Recipe by Ellie Wymard on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in Kresge Theatre, located on the fifth floor of Grace Library, on the Carlow campus.
Wymard, a professor of English and director of Carlow's MFA Program, is a founder of Carlow's Women's Studies Program and an advocate for social justice and progressive values centered on intellectual freedom and human rights. She is the author of Talking Steel Towns: The Men and Women of America's Steel Valley; Conversations with Uncommon Women: Insights from Women Who've Risen above Life's Challenges to Achieve Extraordinary Success; Men on Divorce; and Divorced Women, New Lives.
